TURKU BUSINESS RACE – University student, participate in a business race!
What?
Turku Business Race is a relaxed and cheerful competition, which brings together the students of the six higher education institutions in Turku and the companies located in Turku Science Park area.
When?
Turku Business Race is organised on Tuesday the 12th of March from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. The company visits start at 10:00.
Where?
Turku Business Race is organised in Turku Science Park (Kupittaa) area. The start of the race and the distribution of prices will take place at SparkUp in ElectroCity. The checkpoints visited during the race will be located in the offices of the participating companies.
What?
The participants will compete in teams and one person can do the registration to the race on behalf of the whole team. It is also of course possible to register only yourself and you will then be teamed up with other students. A light lunch will be served. The participating companies will arrange small and quick tasks for the student teams in their own premises lasting for about 20 minutes each. Every student group will visit 4-5 companies during the race. The small tasks will have something to do with entrepreneurship, working life, customers, products or services.
Different fields of the companies: IT, meeting center, clinical testing company (medicine, life sciences, food chemistry), sports, furniture, sustainable development and many more.
The organisers of Turku Business Race are student unions of the higher education institutes of Turku, Study in Turku, Turku Science Park Ltd, YES Southwest Finland, Turun Yrittäjät ry and Turku Technology Properties Ltd.

Vad?
Turku Business Race är en lätt och avslappnad tävling som slår ihop högskolestuderanden i Åbo och företag i Science Parks området. Det här är den första gången som det här konceptet genomförs mellan högskolestuderanden och företag.
När?
Turku Business Race arrangeras tisdagen den 12 mars 2019, kl 9.00–14.30.
Företagsbesök, med uppgiftspunkter sker mellan kl 10–13.
Var?
Turku Business Race äger rum i Science Parks området. Starten och prisutdelningen hålls i SparkUps utrymmen i ElectroCity.
Vad är det frågan om?
Tävlarna är högskolestuderanden i Åbo som tävlar i fyra personers grupper. Man kan anmäla sig antingen i grupp eller ensam. De som anmäler sig skilt, placeras i en grupp.
Uppgiftspunkterna ordnas av företag och en uppgift tar ungefär 20 minuter. Varje grupp ska besöka 4-5 olika punkter i Science Parks område, som lottas ut på förhand. Uppgifterna är kopplade till företagande, arbetsliv, företagens kunder och produkter eller tjänster.
Evenemangets huvudarrangörer är högskolornas studerandekårer, Studiestad Åbo, Turku Science Park Ab, YES Varsinais-Suomi och Åbo Företagare rf samt Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt Ab.
