Academillbiblioteket

Academillbibliotekt, ett projekt som planerats aktivt hela året, är nu snart  verklighet. Tobias har suttit med i den grupp som utfört projektet, och fört fram studerandes perspektiv och tankar. Som ni kanske sett har utrymmen i Academill gjorts om för att bli bibliotek. Tidigare matsalen Agneta blir Academillbibliotekets huvuddel men behåller namnet. Utöver Agneta kommer böcker och studieplatser finnas på Övre torget och före detta “Musikhyllan” numera Bokhyllan (E4 intill Foajén).

Ny möblering i Havtornsgången

Under våren diskuterade vi på Studentkåren en del kring studieutrymmen med FPV:s fakultetsledning, inte minst med anledning av biblioteksflytten. Tobias arbetade under våren och hösten med att samla förslag och idéer, tack till alla som deltagit i processen, kommit med tankar och förslag! Arbetet koncentrerades på Havtornsgången och hur det kunde bli ett mera mångsidigt och attraktivt utrymme. Arbetet med Havtornsgångens inredning tog fart på allvar under hösten och i skrivande stund är gången så gott som tömd på möbler och förvaringsskåpen är utburna. Den nya inredningen förväntas komma på plats under januari. Arbetet har gjorts i nära och mycket gott samarbete med gänget på fastighetsservice och direktör Timo Bäckman.

Det varierande schemat på FPV

Fullmäktige beslöt på årets sjätte möte 2.11 att ge styrelsen i uppdrag att utreda varför lärarlinjerna vid FPV har ett schema som varierar så mycket från vecka till vecka och om något kan göras åt saken. Efter ett möte om frågan blev det klart att det är minst sagt komplext. Det är många saker som påverkar schemaläggningen på hela FPV men en förändring är trots det inte någon omöjlighet och något som utreds vidare.

In this blog post we have gathered a few more things that have happened during this fall concerning our advocacy work. Mostly concerning the changes on Vasacampus.

The Academill Library

The Academill library, a project that has been planned actively all year, is very shortly a reality. Tobias has been a part of the group carrying out the project and brought the perspective and thoughts of the students. As you might have seen areas at Academill have been adapted to become the new library. The former dining hall Agneta will become the main part of the Academill Library, still called Agneta. Further books and study places will be found one floor up on the former “Music Shelf” now the Book Shelf (Bokhyllan) (E4 next to the foyer) and on Övre torget, the large open space up the steep stairs from the foyer.

Mon: 2 p.m.– 5 p.m.

Tue,Wed,Thu: 12 a.m.– 2 p.m.

Fri: 10 p.m.–12 a.m.

The library is set to open week 2, 2021.

New furnishing in the Havtornsgången-walkway

During spring we at the Student Union discussed study spaces a fair bit with faculty management at the Faculty of Education and Welfare Studies (FPV), not least due to the library moving in. Tobias worked on gathering thoughts and ideas during spring, thank you to all who contributed! The work concentrated on Havtornsgången (the walkway between Academill and Havtornen) and how this could become a more versatile and attractive space. The work with the furnishing took off for real during autumn and as of writing this the walkway is as good as empty. The new furniture is expected to be in place during January. The work has been done in close and smooth cooperation with the team at Facilities Management Services and Director Timo Bäckman.

The varying schedule at FPV

The Student Union Council decided at their sixth session on 2.11 to ask the Student Union Board to look into the problems with the extremely varying schedules for the teacher education programmes, it is stressful for the students when the schedule is different every week. Discussions with university staff revealed that there are many factors that influence the scheduling and that the process is quite complex. Nevertheless a change might be possible and the matter will be looked into further.
