Saneringsarbetet efter branden på Kåren 17.10.2020 pågår fortsatt och huset är delvis i användning. Läget 9.11.2020 är följande:
Tavasthem
Tavasthemsborna har kunnat återvända till sina hem 1,5 vecka efter branden, under vecka 44. Alla rummen genomgick full städning och utrymmen är i skick. Fyra av rummen är ännu ur bruk pga sanering. För tillfället finns det lediga rum att hyra i det högklassiga nyligen renoverade studentboendet med ypperligt läge.

Lunch
Den populära lunchrestaurangen Kårkafé Kåren kommer att öppna med nytt upplägg i Kårens festsal under nästa vecka. Närmare info och lunchlistor hittas på karkafeerna.fi. Övriga delar av andra våningen som t.ex. Argentinasalen och matsalen kommer inte att vara i bruk åtminstone under 2020.
Bokningsbara utrymmen
Den nya festsalstekniken med ljus, ljud och bild är i skick och salen med normalt max 220 kundplatser kan bokas för trygga kvällsmöten och -middagar av restaurangchef Anne Peltonen per mail anne.peltonen@abo.fi.
Marlirummet för max 20 personer och kårbastun för max 10 personer är bokningsbara fr.o.m. 13.11.2020. Boka utrymmen här.
Föreningsutrymmen
Specialföreningskansliet och förvaringsutrymmen i Kårens källare har varit tillgängliga för specialföreningarna sedan 2.11.2020.
ÅAS specialföreningar kommer inte att ha tillgång till Kårens utrymmen på andra våningen som normalt mån-ons avgiftsfritt åtminstone under resten av året 2020 pga. saneringsarbetet.
Studentkårens kansli
Kårkansliet på Kårens tredje våning är ur bruk tillsvidare. Studentkårens service sker på distans.
Affärslokaler
Hyresgästerna Linna burger & coffee på Kårens första våning öppnade dörrarna för sina kunder 2.11.2020 Under veckorna 43 och 44 har övriga hyresgäster i affärslokalerna kunnat återta sin verksamhet på Kåren. Därmed har även CampusSport gym Roddis haft öppet igen fr.o.m. 29.10.2020.

Tavasthem
The residents of the student home Tavasthem have been able to return to their homes after 1.5 weeks during week 44. All rooms have been fully cleaned and spaces are in good condition. Four of the rooms are still out of use due to renovation. At the moment, there are vacant rooms for rent in the high-class newly renovated student housing with an excellent location.
Lunch
The popular lunch restaurant Kårkafé Kåren will open with a new layout in Kåren’s ball room next week. Further info and lunch lists can be found at karkafeerna.fi. Other parts of the second floor such as Argentinasalen and the dining hall will not be in use at least during 2020.
Bookable spaces
The new party hall technology with light, sound and image is in good condition and the hall with a normal maximum of 220 customer seats can be booked for safe evening meetings and dinners by restaurant manager Anne Peltonen by email anne.peltonen@abo.fi.
The Marli room for a max of 20 persons and sauna for max 10 persons can be booked from 13 November 2020. You can find the booking here.
The student association spaces
The special associations office and storage spaces in Kåren’s basement have been available to the student associations since 2 November 2020.
ÅAS student associations will not have access to Kåren’s premises free of charge as normal Mon–Wed at least during the rest of the year 2020 due to the renovation work.
The Student Union Office
The Student Union office on the union’s third floor is out of use for the time being. The student union’s service takes place at a distance until further notice.
Business premises
The tenants Linna burger & coffee on Kåren’s first floor opened the doors for their customers 2 November 2020. During weeks 43 and 44, other tenants in the business premises were able to resume their operations at Kåren. Thus, CampusSport gym Roddis has also been open again from 29 October 2020
